Cats receive only about one half the medical care that dogs receive. According to a recent study, 20% of cats are not vaccinated and more than 25% do not get boosters.

more info...Catapawlooza! 2009
On September 26, 2009, we held the first of what we're hoping will become an annual event: Catapawlooza!
This event took place in a large tent in the yard beside the shelter and was a bigger success than we had even hoped for. Fifteen cats and kittens were adopted that day! We'd like to thank Mike's Tents, the Vets and Vet Techs who donated their time, our Vendors (Feed-All and Here Kitty Kitty Creations) for their gifts to all the cats who were adopted, Sue Becker, all the volunteers, and the Shelter staff for putting in their time and effort to make this special event happen! And of course thanks to everyone who joined us that day, especially those who opened their homes and hearts to adopt the fifteen lucky cats and kittens.
If you missed it, be sure to keep your ears open for the announcement of next year's Catapawlooza. We hope to see you there!
